Birthday Blessings' mission is to ensure every child feels celebrated on their birthday by providing children in need with a "birthday party in a box." Each birthday box is filled with cake supplies and party decorations that allow families to create a joyful celebration regardless of financial circumstances.
Impact
Why it Matters
Roughly 17% of households in North Carolina live in poverty. That means 1 in 6 children may not have the means to celebrate their birthday. A simple birthday celebration can help a child feel valued, seen, and celebrated.
Birthday Blessings helps turn what could be just a another day into a day filled with joy, celebration, and lasting memories.
Community Service Impact
Volunteers learn the importance of giving back and empathy. Engaging youth in service fosters lifelong habits of kindness. Birthday Blessings packing events are great for all ages and is a fun way to involve the whole family. Partnerships with local businesses also amplify community reach.

How can you get involved?
Donations are always welcome—both monetary contributions and physical items. Several packing events are held throughout the year, and adults and children of all ages are encouraged to participate. Birthdays are something everyone can relate to, making box‑packing a perfect community service opportunity that especially resonates with children. Please refer to the event flyers for more details.
